Stay Types

StayTech offers a highly flexible calendar and booking system that can be customised to suit how you and your business works.

Stay Types are the different durations of stay that you allow a guest to book online and are the first steps required when setting up your calendar. These can later be associated with Seasons (your pricing for different times of the year) to complete your online calendar.

A Stay Type must contain the number of Nights, the Changeover Day (the first day of the booking) and have a Title.

How does it appear?

If someone is viewing your website's calendar and selects a date, a small box will appear showing the available Stay Types for the selected dates with their price.

Your Stay Type Title will appear in the pop up bubble followed by it's price, allowing you to customise how this looks to guests with Titles such as "Book a weekend break" or something as simple as "3 nights".

You will notice in the example above that the available start date is coloured differently to other dates on the calendar to make it obvious when an online booking can start.

If you have more than 4 Stay Type's assigned to a Season, the calendar will display a dropdown with a list of the departure dates instead

Property Listings

Your Stay Type Titles will also appear on pages such as /late-availability, /special-offers, & date searches, where your Property Listing will sit with it's main image, blurb and key features, but also with the relevant Stay Types that are available.

The example above shows the commencement date of the different available bookings, with the Stay Type Title below, it's cost, and an Enquire button.

If your calendar has "Online Bookings Enabled" then the button with be "Book Now" within Property Listings

Stay Type Examples

You can create as many or as little Stay Types as you like. In order to maximise occupancy and minimise changeover days, we would recommend sticking to a regular pattern. Here are examples of the most commonly used Stay Types:

7 Night Week (Fri - Fri) / (Mon - Mon) / (Sat - Sat)

4 Night Mid Week (Mon - Fri)

2 Night Weekend (Fri - Sun)

3 Night Weekend (Fri - Mon)

You may decide to have specific Stay Types for Christmas/New Year weeks as the start day of these will depend on how it falls year by year.
