Placing Bookings on Hold

You have the ability to place bookings on hold - useful when you're waiting for guest action, such as awaiting payment, waiting for the guest to confirm details, or if you're unable to get hold of them.

How On-Hold Works

When a booking is marked on hold, it will pause temporarily. You can choose to leave it on hold for a specific number of hours or until a specific date.

New Behaviour (Updated)

Previously: If the hold date passed, the booking would automatically cancel.

Now: Once the hold period ends, the booking will simply revert to its previous status (e.g. confirmed or provisional) and continue as normal - it will no longer cancel automatically. This change helps prevent accidental cancellations and gives you more control over your bookings.

How to Put a Booking on Hold

  1. Log in to your admin and go to Bookings
  2. Select the relevant booking
  3. Go to the Details / Edit section
  4. Tick the On Hold checkbox
  5. Select On Hold duration
  6. Scroll down and click Update to save your changes
