Maximum Number of Guests

Each Property requires a Base Occupancy and a Maximum Occupancy. If the Property only has a standard sleeping arrangement, then your Maximum Occupancy field should be the same as your Base Occupancy.

For example, you may only accept a maximum of 8 guests at your property, and would set both the Base and Maximum Occupancy as 8.

If however you can accommodate more than your Base occupancy, with the likes of a additional fixtures like a campbed, z bed or sofabed etc. you can set your Maximum Occupancy to be bigger than your Base Occupancy.

For example, you may have a Base Occupancy of 6 because you have 3 double beds that can sleep 6 guests, however you also offer the option to provide additional sleeping arrangements for 2 more people on a put up bed, so would set your Maximum Occupancy to 8.

You can configure your Base Occupancy and Maximum Occupancy on the Property Profile:Properties > Select a Property > Edit > Configurations. You will see that there are two fields here.
