Snippets

A Snippet is a small piece of content that can be added to an area of your website that you wouldn't ordinarily be able to edit otherwise.

The Snippet "This is a Snippet!" has been added in this example to the bottom of a sites footer.

Where can I add Snippets?

Snippets can typically be added between the likes of existing headings and banners etc. Although the easiest way to see where is by toggling on the "Site Snippet Helpers", which then shows the locations on your website.

Site Content > Snippets > Site Snippet Helpers > On

Can't see what you're looking for? Get in touch and let us know where you would like to add a Snippet

We recommend that you copy the Slug (the bit highlighted in red) once you've found a Snippet that you'd like to use.

Adding a Snippet

It's simple to add content to your site via a Snippet, just navigate to:

Site Content > Snippets > Add Snippet

Then give it a name ("Title") for you to easily reference it in the future, then paste in where you'd it to appear with the identifier ("Slug").

You can then add your text, links, images etc. into the Content editor.

See below for how the above examples appears

    • homepage.title
  • Agency Signup Page - Allows you to add content to the left hand side of the 'Listing your Property' page if you're an agency.
    • agency.new.content

    • agency.thanks.content

Adding HTML via a Snippet

You may want to embed the likes of a widget to your site, and adding HTML via a Snippet allows you to do that. Simply paste into the Content field.

A typical example of using HTML may be to embed a reviews widget on your site, or a social media feed, both of which would automatically update with the latest content.
